Faculty and staff who work on student academic appeals processes within their division are invited to join a Workshop on Academic Appeals processes, hosted by the Provost’s Office.

Members of academic appeals committees or boards, and staff and faculty who process or address student appeals of all types are welcome to attend the workshop.

The workshop will discuss the Framework for the Divisional Appeals Processes; tips on developing and implementing divisional appeals processes; the role of the Governing Council Appeals, Discipline and Faculty Grievances Office; processes at the University-level Academic Appeals Committee; and tips on speaking to students about these often stressful situations.
