Re: Update on the Advisory Committee for the Dean of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design (PDAD&C #63)

As noted in PDAD&C#9 (2019-20), Professor Richard Sommer will complete his term as Dean of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design on June 30, 2020, and is not eligible for reappointment. Following the announcement of the Advisory Committee in PDAD&C #19 (2019-20), the process for selecting a new Dean has been underway since late last year.

Considering the continued uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions on travel and gathering in groups, the President and I have decided to pause the work of the Advisory Search Committee for the time being.

We will be in touch shortly with more information about the Faculty’s leadership for the coming year. I would like to thank the Advisory Committee members for their continued diligence in this process, especially given the changing circumstances.
