Re: Statement on Faculty Member Remuneration from Sponsored Research Projects (PDAD&C #16)

The goal of the Statement on Faculty Member Remuneration from Sponsored Research Projects is to provide clarity regarding the proper administration of faculty member remuneration from sponsored research projects and to harmonize the treatment of such remuneration with CRA guidelines. This Statement replaces the previous procedure and form regarding Secondary Research Contracts.

To further support the proper and accountable treatment of such remuneration, the Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation will implement an adjustment to “My Research – Applications” that will highlight the intention to include such remuneration in a project budget and link to a form that will obtain the appropriate divisional approvals. This adjustment is scheduled to take effect at the beginning of October 2016.
