As the winter season begins, we wish to remind you that the procedures for the cancellation of on-campus classes and/or University closure due to adverse weather conditions are available on the website for the Office of the Vice-President & Provost. Please note that the cancellation of classes refers to on-campus classes only. Cancellation of virtual classes will be decided by each Division.

Notices and updates will be posted on the U of T homepage, the UTM homepage, and the UTSC homepage as necessary. Institutional social media channels (Instagram, X, and Facebook) will also be used to alert the community. Occasionally, an update may be sent via UTAlert, U of T’s rapid notification system, which provides campus-wide updates such as snow closures, safety messages, and notices of building evacuations.

A reminder that the University upgraded UTAlert on November 1, 2023. All U of T community members are encouraged to enter their cellphone numbers and download the app so that we can share critical information more efficiently with our campus communities.
