Re: Reappointment of Professor Michael Ratcliffe as Dean of Arts and Vice-Provost, Trinity College (PDAD&C #39)

I am delighted to share that Professor Michael Ratcliffe will serve for a second term as Dean of Arts and Vice-Provost of Trinity College. This appointment, approved by the Corporation of Trinity College, extends his term to June 30, 2024 and includes a one-year administrative leave.

Per section 4.10 of the Federation Framework Agreement between the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and Trinity College, the reappointment of Professor Ratcliffe as Dean of Arts and Vice-Provost of Trinity College was reported to Academic Board on November 22, 2018.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Professor Ratcliffe on his exceptional leadership of the Trinity College community and his significant contributions as an academic administrator at the University of Toronto. Professor Ratcliffe served as Chair of the Department of Immunology in the Faculty of Medicine from 2001-2012 prior to taking on the role of Dean and Vice-Provost of Trinity. He received his B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow and his Ph.D. from University College, London.
