Re: Open Access Publishing Deal with PLOS Medicine and PLOS Biology

The University of Toronto (U of T) has signed on to participate in a three-year open access agreement with the Public Library of Science (PLOS) through the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN)

Under the terms of this agreement, which began January 1, 2021, U of T researchers have unlimited publishing in PLOS Medicine and PLOS Biology without paying article processing fees.

This agreement is part of ongoing work by the University of Toronto Libraries (UTL)  to support immediate and barrier-free access to research. This agreement also meets the requirements of the Tri-Agency Open Access Policy and will enhance the visibility and impact of University of Toronto research.

For general questions or more information on how this agreement works, please contact your liaison librarian or scholarly.communications@library.utoronto.ca
