The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is pleased to invite registration for a new workshop: Building Success Across the Graduate Lifecycle, March 31st from 1:00 – 2:30pm. Presented by the Centre for Graduate Mentorship & Supervision and the Centre for Teaching Support and Innovation, this workshop is aimed at pre-tenure faculty and those who may be new to graduate supervision at the University of Toronto.

Hosted by the SGS Vice-Dean, Students, Professor Yana Yunusova (Rehabilitation Sciences Institute), Professors Ana PĂ©rez-Leroux (Department of Spanish & Portuguese) and John Peever (Department of Cell & Systems Biology), the workshop covers:

  • Key milestones and policies for graduate supervisors
  • Best practices in selecting and recruiting students
  • Best practices in creating student-centered academic plans and professional experiences
  • Documenting student progress and providing effective feedback
