Deadline for Teaching Stream Opt-In is December 31, 2015

A final reminder to you that the deadline for your Lecturers and Senior Lecturers to elect to be covered by the terms of the amended PPAA is December 31, 2015. Please encourage those who are interested to return a signed copy of the election form they received during the summer no later then December 31, 2015 in order to ensure that they are covered.

Being covered by the amended PPAA includes:

• Professorial Rank – Lecturers will become Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream and Senior Lecturers change rank to Associate Professor, Teaching Stream
• A new process for promotion to Full Professor, Teaching Stream
• A new timeline for promotion to continuing status and the rank of Associate Professor, Teaching Stream for pre-promotion faculty (details)
• A term of adjusted workload for Assistant Professors, Teaching Stream (after a successful interim review) in order to prepare for continuing status review
