Re: Faculty Member and Librarian Bargaining Update

The University is providing an update on the current round of bargaining between the University of Toronto Administration and the University of Toronto Faculty Association (UTFA) for the period July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The parties have agreed to proceed to mediation with a third-party mediator, Jasbir Parmar, commencing on May 13, 2026. The University Administration and UTFA have been engaged in ongoing bargaining since January 2026.

Should it be required, the parties have an arbitration date set aside on May 23, 2026.

Regardless of whether an agreement is reached or an award is issued prior to July 1, 2026, PTR will be paid in the July payroll.
