Re: Call for Submissions — 2021 Office of Indigenous Initiatives Annual Report
The Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) is asking all U of T units and divisions to provide information on all Indigenous events, activities, programs, and policies that took place in 2021. The information on 2021 activities will be collected and shared as the 2021 Office of Indigenous Initiatives Annual Report.

The University of Toronto committed to this process in the Call to Action #33, which states:
# 33 Short-Term Call to Action: All divisions should be required to report annually to the Provost on progress in implementing University commitments in relation to the Calls to Action contained in this report.
These commitments and others come from the TRC Steering Committee’s Report, Answering the Call: Wecheehetowin.
As examples, the 2021 OII Annual Report is seeking to highlight:
- Indigenous events and other initiatives;
- New Indigenous hires;
- New curriculum and/or co-curricular educational program developments;
- Indigenous research;
- Community partnerships and relationship-building efforts with Indigenous communities; and
- Divisional policies and/or procedural guidelines surrounding Indigenous strategy.
We encourage all U of T units and divisions to contribute and submit your feedback on the form above by December 17, 2021.
