Re: Call for Proposals – MacArthur Foundation 100&Change competition

The MacArthur Foundation has launched the second round of the 100&Change competition, a competition for a single $100 million grant to fund proposals that promise real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time.

100&Change proposals require the articulation of both a problem and its solution.  Competitive proposals will address a significant problem and provide a solution that is impactful, evidence-based, feasible, and durable with demonstrated significant and authentic engagement with affected communities.

In response to this opportunity, the Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation (VPRI) is inviting interested parties from the U of T community to propose a project or initiative for consideration. Initial proposal summaries of 500 words or less should be submitted to vp.research@utoronto.ca before Tuesday, April 30.

The VPRI and the Division of University Advancement are coordinating efforts to support development of competitive proposals for this program.  Researchers are invited to contact Steven Hermans, Partnership Development Officer, to discuss the program and any potential proposal.

To learn more about the program, please visit the MacArthur Foundation’s 100&Change website and the resources for applicants.
