Re: Call for Proposals – Learning and Education Advancement Fund (PDAD&C #3)

The focus of the Learning and Education Advancement Fund (LEAF) is to enrich the learning experience of undergraduate students in first-entry Divisions across the University by supporting projects that anticipate, leverage, and create positive changes in both the modes and mechanisms of undergraduate education at the University of Toronto. The Fund will provide academic divisions and units with a means to develop and enhance the assessment and application of high-impact teaching practices within the range of learning environments at the University.

Funding Streams and Application Timelines

Applications for the two Fund streams will be accepted by the Office of the Vice-Provost, Innovations in Undergraduate Education according to the following timelines*:

  • Seed grant ($5,000-$15,000 per year) applications will be accepted on a rolling basis;
  • Impact grant ($15,000-$100,000 per year) applications will be accepted once per year. The 2018-19 application deadline for Impact grants is Friday, November 9.

*For both streams, please consult with your local Dean’s Office to determine internal review processes and deadlines prior to initiating an application.

Applications for both streams must be submitted online. An overview of the key thematic areas, proposal guidelines, a complete list of proposal requirements, and downloadable proposal template documents are also available online. Questions regarding the LEAF program can be directed to:
