Re: Call for Nominations – U of T Teaching Awards & Fellowships (PDAD&C #20)

Teaching and learning is central to the mission of the University of Toronto. The following University-wide awards and fellowship programs have been established to recognize our strengths in these areas, to develop future leaders in teaching and learning, and to celebrate the significant achievements of our faculty in educational leadership and innovations in teaching. Recipients are honoured at an annual Excellence in Teaching Reception.

I am delighted to announce the call for nominations for the 2015-16 University of Toronto Teaching Awards & Fellowships:

The President’s Teaching Award

The President’s Teaching Award recognizes sustained excellence in teaching and significant contributions in educational leadership. We encourage nominations of colleagues whose achievements in these fields are truly outstanding for recognition by the University of Toronto. The University designates recipients as members of the Teaching Academy for a minimum period of five years; those wishing to continue participation in the Academy after this term may elect to do so.

Please visit the President’s Teaching Award page on the Provost’s website for information on the award and the 2016 Nomination Guidelines.

A selection committee chaired by the Vice-President and Provost will determine the PTA Award winners.
