It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Agenda Committee of the Academic Board has approved the appointment of Professor Angela Lange as Acting Vice-Principal, Academic & Dean at the University of Toronto Mississauga from July 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, while Professor Amrita Daniere is on administrative leave.

Professor Lange joined the Department of Biology at the University of Toronto Mississauga in 1988 and is well respected by the entire UTM community. Past honours include receiving the UTM Faculty Teaching Excellence Award in 2004 and the UTM Faculty Research Excellence Award in 2007. Professor Lange brings a wealth of experience in academic administration to this role, having served as Vice-Dean, Faculty at UTM since October 2016, as Chair of the Department of Biology, and as Vice-Dean, Undergraduate, Teaching & Learning.

Professor Lange is an outstanding scholar, teacher, and administrator. Please join us in congratulating her on her appointment to this leadership position.
