I am pleased to announce the appointment of Joyce Hahn to the role of Chief Administrative Officer, Division of the Vice-President & Provost, effective February 8, 2021. Joyce will be succeeding Catherine Gagne, whose appointment as Senior Strategist was announced last November. Catherine is providing administrative leadership on the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force on Student Mental Health.

As Chief Administrative Officer, Joyce will oversee the functioning of finance, human resources, information technology, space management, capital and renovation projects, health and safety, and risk management across the Provostial portfolios. She will partner with leaders across the University to devise and implement administrative strategies that support and advance the University’s mission and priorities.

Joyce comes to the Division of the Vice-President & Provost from Innis College, where she has served as the Chief Administrative Officer since 2018. Prior to assuming the CAO role at Innis, she was Assistant Director, Capital & Business Operations at UTSC Financial Services, where she acted as a key financial liaison for the campus’s business operations and annual budget processes. Joyce brings to this role extensive experience in public accounting, financial reporting, audit, budget, taxation, strategy, and systems in both the public and private spheres. She is a Chartered Accountant with CPA Ontario and CPA Canada and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the Rotman School.

Please join me in welcoming Joyce Hahn to the Division of the Vice-President and Provost.
