As announced on January 14, 2016, Professor Francis Ahia will soon complete his term as Director of the Transitional Year Programme. In keeping with University practice, I am convening an advisory committee for the appointment of a new Director. The composition of the committee is as follows:

Chair:

Faculty outside the Programme:

Faye Mishna, Dean, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work

Faculty within the Programme:
Jill Carter, Transitional Year Programme and the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies, Faculty of Arts & Science
Wanja Gitari, Associate Professor, Transitional Year Programme and the Centre for Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE)
Thomas Mathien, Associate Professor, Teaching Stream and Associate Director, Transitional Year Programme

Administrative Staff:

The Vice-Provost, Students welcomes comments about the desired qualities for the next Director of the Transitional Year Programme, as well as nominations for a new Director from interested persons. All communications will be received in confidence and will be anonymized before forwarding to the Advisory Committee for consideration.
