Announcing the Advisory Committee for the Dean, Faculty of Forestry (PDAD&C #99)

As noted in PDAD&C #86 on April 6, 2017, Professor Mohini Sain will complete his term as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry on June 30, 2017. Professor Sain has informed me that he is not wishing to consider an extension to his term.

As announced on March 23, 2017 in PDAD&C #78, a collegial process of consultation and exploration is underway regarding academic programs and research in forestry and related disciplines at U of T including the potential academic restructuring of the Faculty of Forestry.

In accordance with Section 60 of the Policy on Appointment of Academic Administrators, President Gertler has appointed a Committee to recommend the appointment of a Dean of the Faculty of Forestry for a two year term. The composition of the Committee is as follows:

The Advisory Committee will begin meeting this month and welcomes comments from interested persons. Nominations for the position of Dean can be submitted via the online form. All communications will be received in confidence and will be anonymized before consideration by the Advisory Committee.
