Re: University of Toronto eTranscript Launch

On November 19, 2019, the University of Toronto Electronic Transcript (eTranscript) was launched, after extensive collaboration between Enrolment Services and Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI).  Students and alumni can now order official PDF transcripts through ACORN.

The new University of Toronto eTranscript offers a number of improvements to the paper transcript as well as benefits to students and alumni.

  • The eTranscript cannot be forged because it is digitally certified.
  • The eTranscript is available on the same day it is requested. Eventually, the turnaround will be reduced to about one hour.
  • Alumni without a UTORid can now order their paper and/or eTranscripts directly through our eTranscript ordering site. They no longer have to go through the ROSI Alumni Transcript Ordering site, which will be decommissioned by the end of this calendar year.

In addition, the new eTranscript provides a solid foundation upon which future enhancements to the University of Toronto transcript can be made.  Since late 2018, a tri-campus committee, co-chaired by Sandy Welsh, Vice-Provost Students, and Susan McCahan, Vice-Provost, Innovations in Undergrad Education & Academic Programs, has been considering ways to modernize how the University captures and reports student learning and achievement through the transcript. The committee’s work continues; however, the new eTranscript provides a foundation upon which future transcript enhancements can be made.
