Re: Tri-Agency Statement of Principles on Data Management: Feedback Request

The Tri-Agencies recently released a Draft Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management, outlining the Agencies’ overarching expectations with regard to digital research data management, and the responsibilities of researchers, research communities, institutions and funders. The Statement is a step in a process through which the Agencies are reviewing and enhancing data management requirements for Agency-supported research.

The Agencies have invited institutions and individuals to comment on the draft Statement, its comprehensiveness and balance, as well as its usefulness in advancing data stewardship and data management practices in general.

The University of Toronto Libraries and the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, invite feedback on the Statement to inform a University-wide response. Please send feedback on the Statement to datapolicyresponse@library.utoronto.ca by August 21, 2015.
