Reminder of Procedures for Cancellation of Classes and/or University Closure Due to Adverse Weather Conditions (PDAD&C #15)

As the winter season begins, we wish to remind you that the procedures for the cancellation of on-campus classes and/or University closure due to adverse weather conditions are available on the website for the Office of the Vice-President & Provost.

Notices and updates will be posted on the U of T homepage, the UTM homepage, and the UTSC homepage as necessary. Institutional social media channels (Instagram, X, and Facebook) will also be used to alert the community. Occasionally, an update may be sent via UTAlert, U of T’s rapid notification system, which provides campus-wide updates such as snow closures, safety messages, and notices of building evacuations. All U of T community members are encouraged to enter their cellphone numbers and download the app so that we can share critical information more efficiently with our campus communities.
