Re: Reappointment of Professor Lisa Dolovich as Dean, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (PDAD&C #34)
I am pleased to announce that the Agenda Committee of Academic Board has approved the reappointment of Professor Lisa Dolovich as Dean of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy for a five-year term from July 1, 2025 to December 30, 2030, including six months of administrative leave.
Under Professor Dolovich’s leadership, the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy continues to foster pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical science through world-leading education and research. With her direction and vision – and through the COVID-19 pandemic – she has strengthened internal organization, leadership development, and faculty renewal.
Through the Dean’s Advisory Committee, Faculty Open House, and initiatives like participating in PRiME Next Generation Precision Medicine, the Network for Improving Health Systems (NIHS) and the Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care , Professor Dolovich has supported efforts to collaborate within the Faculty, the profession and the wider community. She has supported the ongoing major curriculum renewal of the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Since 2020, she has served as Chief Pharmacist & Chair of the Board of Directors, Discovery Pharmacy at U of T.
Professor Dolovich is distinguished in the pharmacy community for her research work and expertise on pharmacist integration into primary care teams, and expanded professional pharmacy services, and interventions that can improve health care delivery and medication management. She is also co-founder of the Ontario Pharmacy Evidence Network, a multi-institutional and interdisciplinary research program aimed at providing high-quality evidence for use by governments, patients, and healthcare providers.
Professor Dolovich received her BScPhm at University of Toronto, her MSc at McMaster University, and her PharmD at the University of Toronto.
Professor Dolovich’s remarkable leadership and commitment to the profession will be key to even greater achievements at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy in the years ahead. Please join me in congratulating Professor Dolovich on this appointment.
