Reappointment of Professor Angela Esterhammer as Principal of Victoria College (PDAD&C #1)

Re: Reappointment of Professor Angela Esterhammer as Principal of Victoria College (PDAD&C #1)

We are delighted to share that Professor Angela Esterhammer will serve for a second term as Principal of Victoria College. This appointment, approved by the Board of Regents of Victoria University, extends her term to June 30, 2023 and includes a one-year administrative leave between terms.

Per section 4.10 of the Federation of Agreement between the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and Victoria University, the reappointment of Professor Esterhammer as Principal of Victoria College was reported to Academic Board on March 16, 2017.

We wish to take an opportunity to congratulate Professor Esterhammer and to acknowledge her exceptional leadership of the Victoria College community and her contributions as an academic administrator at the University of Toronto over the past five years. Professor Esterhammer’s approved administrative leave is from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, during which time Professor Stephen Rupp is serving as Acting Principal. Professor Rupp is a faculty member in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese in the Faculty of Arts & Science and is well known for his research excellence and engagement in academic administration.
