Re: Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey and Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey 2025
(PDAD&C #22)
In the coming weeks, the University of Toronto will be participating in the two surveys: Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS) and Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS). We are writing to request your cooperation in ensuring we secure the highest response rates possible for these important institutional surveys.
Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey is an important survey about mental health, wellbeing and student experiences. This survey asks a broad range of questions about mental health, campus climate, physical health and health service utilization. All undergraduate students (mid-February to mid-March 2025) and graduate students (March 31 – April 28, 2025) will be invited to participate in this survey. This is the third time that we have participated in CCWS, and we look forward to the data to better understand our strengths and opportunities from the results. Students who participate will be entered into a random draw for one of 300 $10 gift cards. To help increase participation, we will also have promotional materials to distribute available shortly that units can use in your communications with students.
Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey captures performance measurements on student satisfaction with their graduate programs and experience. We utilize this data to identify our strengths and ensure that our graduate programs maintain high standards of academic excellence and continue to improve. All graduate students will be invited to participate from February 11 – March 25, 2025. Students who complete the survey have the chance to win one of 10 $200 VISA gift cards. To help you promote the survey to your students, we have designed the following assets.
Survey fatigue can significantly and negatively affect response rates. For this reason, we ask that you refrain from conducting surveys of undergraduate and graduate students during this period as much as possible. Please encourage your students to take part in these important surveys and help us improve the student experience at the University of Toronto.
If you have any questions about the CCWS survey, please contact David Newman, Executive Director, Student Experience at david.newman@utoronto.ca and questions about the CGPSS survey can be directed to Brian Desrosiers-Tam, Assistant Dean, School of Graduate Studies at brian.desrosierstam@utoronto.ca.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
