It is our great pleasure to announce the appointment of Tanya Kreinin as Assistant Vice-President, Brand Strategy and Integrated Marketing, effective October 1, 2018.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Communications on University-wide brand marketing, and to the Vice-President, Advancement on advancement communications and marketing, the Assistant Vice-President, Brand Strategy and Integrated Marketing is responsible for elevating the University of Toronto’s image, identity, and reputation among key national and international stakeholders and positioning U of T more effectively to secure alumni engagement and philanthropic investment locally and globally.
The AVP Brand Strategy and Integrated Marketing will help address pressing marketing challenges and implement a systematic approach to marketing strategy, planning, consultation, and guidance. In her new role, Tanya will draw on resources in both UTC and DUA to provide brand strategy and integrated marketing support and consultation to Vice-Presidential portfolios and divisions across U of T’s three campuses. This will include strategic and creative guidance, workshops and training, market research methodologies, marketing resources, templates, and tools, as well as effective marketing processes that support the needs and objectives of faculties and divisions.
With more than twenty years of experience within the field of brand strategy, consulting, integrated marketing, and communications planning and implementation within both public and private sectors, Tanya brings extensive experience and knowledge to the role. Before joining the University, Tanya led the development and public launch of the brand and marketing platform for the Boundless Campaign through her role as Senior Director, Brand Strategy and Integrated Marketing with J. Walter Thompson.
Since joining the University, she has led Advancement marketing and communication initiatives across U of T’s three campuses and worked closely with the University’s senior leadership on critical marketing campaigns and priorities. Tanya is highly regarded for her excellence in strategy, collaboration, and creative execution.
