Re: Appointment of Provostial Advisor on Residences (PDAD&C #18)

I am pleased to report that Professor Kenneth Corts, Vice-Dean, Research, Strategy and Resources at the Rotman School of Management, will assume the role of Provostial Advisor on Residences at the University of Toronto from December 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. Professor Corts will continue to serve as Vice-Dean during this appointment.

Working with the support of the Chief Administrative Officer, Division of the Vice-President and Provost, and the Executive Director, Student Housing and Resident Experience, Professor Corts will lead the development of a ten-year strategic plan for the University of Toronto residences. This plan will build on the strategy developed by the previous Provostial Advisor on Residences, Professor Cristina Amon, and her team, as well as the work of the Role of the Residences Working Group of the Provostial Review of the Colleges on the St. George Campus. This long-term strategic plan will guide the expansion and maintenance of residence buildings and spaces and will be an integral part of the continuous development of student experience at U of T over the next decade.

Professor Corts brings to this role great skill in strategic planning and a wealth of experience in administrative leadership. I am delighted that he has agreed to serve the University of Toronto in this crucial endeavour.
