Re:  Appointment of Professor Robert Levit as Acting Dean, John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design

I am writing to let you know that Professor Juan Du has commenced a short-term medical leave. Professor Robert Levit has been appointed as Acting Dean of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design until her return later this term.

Professor Robert Levit served as director of the Master of Urban Design program from 2003-2010, and director of the Master of Architecture program from 2013-2017. More recently, he served as the Associate Dean, Academic from 2017-2021. He received his BA from Columbia University and MArch from Harvard University. Professor Levit is a partner in the design firm Khoury Levit Fong. His work links the urban and architectural scale, and his designs and writing on architecture have appeared in numerous domestic and foreign publications.

Please join me in thanking Professor Levit for taking on this short-term acting role at the Daniels Faculty, and in wishing Dean Du a speedy recovery.

I will continue to be in touch with the Dean’s Office to support the Daniels Faculty during this period.
