We are pleased to announce that the Agenda Committee of Academic Board has approved the appointment of Professor Kelly Hannah-Moffat as Interim Vice-Principal, Academic & Dean at the University of Toronto Mississauga from January 1, 2016 to April 30, 2016.

Professor Hannah-Moffat has been a highly valued member of the U of T community since joining the UTM Department of Sociology in 1999. She is an experienced administrator, having served as acting chair of sociology at UTM in 2006-2007 and chair from 2008-2011. Currently, she is UTM’s Vice-Dean, Undergraduate, where she has played a key role in planning and carrying out the academic mission of the campus. Professor Hannah-Moffat is also director of the U of T Centre of Criminology and Sociolegal Studies.

Professor Hannah-Moffat’s impressive scholarly and administrative record, her deep commitment to equity and social justice, her widespread support from the UTM community, and her current role in the Office of the Dean all make her ideally suited for the position of Interim Vice-Principal, Academic & Dean at UTM. Please join me in welcoming her to this role.
