Re: | Reminder – AODA Training & Web Accessibility (PDAD&C #35) |
In the spring of this year, the University launched a new online training module as per the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The training has been made available to all staff and faculty who are required to complete the training under provincial legislation. For further information on this training, please visit U of T’s AODA Training, Services and Events webpage.
The AODA also requires the University’s publicly accessible websites to conform with its web accessibility standards. Those involved in designing, developing, and writing for these websites should familiarize themselves with the AODA standards available on U of T’s Accessible Communications webpage. In the new year, the AODA Office will continue to offer in-person training sessions through the Organizational Development & Learning Centre and promote them through the relevant channels.
