Re: | 2018 Tune Into Teaching Series |
Tune Into Teaching is a series of teaching-focused sessions for all instructors, hosted by the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) on August 21, 27, 30, and 31, 2018. Deans, Chairs, and Directors are encouraged as well to promote these teaching events to all instructors.
The series of workshops is designed to provide instructors with techniques and strategies to maximize student engagement, support active and collaborative learning, create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment, and implement effective assessment practices and policies. Instructors will come away with specific strategies they can apply immediately in their own classes. This year’s workshops are:
Making Your Syllabus Work for You and Your Students
Setting the Tone for Success: The First Day and Beyond
Grading: Myths and Realities
Assignment Design
Strategies that Engage: Students as Active Learners
Getting Ready to Teach with Tech: Supporting Engagement and Collaboration with Educational Technologies
The full program, including workshop descriptions, facilitator details, and registration, is available online.
