Re: $100 Million Opportunity to Solve 1 Big Problem

The MacArthur Foundation has launched a new competition – 100&Change – that will award one grant of $100M for a proposal designed to solve a critical problem affecting people, places, or the planet.

100&Change proposals require the articulation of both a problem and its solution that is verifiable, durable, and feasible with demonstrated significant and authentic engagement with affected communities. In response to this opportunity, we are inviting interested parties from the U of T community to propose a project or initiative for consideration. Initial proposal summaries of 500 words or less should be submitted to the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation at vp.research@utoronto.ca before Wednesday, June 29.

To learn more about how participate in the University of Toronto’s coordinated approach for submission, please consult the MacArthur Foundation’s website and the 100&Change competition.
