Re: Appointment of Trevor Rodgers as Assistant Vice-President, Institutional Strategy
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Rodgers as Assistant Vice-President, Institutional Strategy, effective October 27, 2025.
In this new role within the Office of the President, Trevor will serve as a key strategic partner and trusted advisor, responsible for advancing the implementation of institutional priorities, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and supporting operational excellence. As a member of the President’s senior leadership team, he will provide high-level strategic counsel on complex initiatives involving multiple executive portfolios and work directly with me, my direct reports, and academic and administrative leaders across the University.
Trevor will lead or support transformational projects that align with presidential priorities, offering guidance on goal-setting, resource planning, organizational structures, and performance evaluation. He will also play a central role in coordinating with the Planning & Budget Office to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with financial planning and resource allocation.
Over the course of his 25-year career in higher education, Trevor has demonstrated exceptional leadership in financial and strategic management. As Chief Financial Officer since 2021, he has overseen the University’s financial management and reporting processes and has led major digital transformation initiatives to modernize financial processes and improve service delivery across the University. He previously held progressively senior roles within the Planning & Budget Office, where he contributed significantly to the evolution of the University’s budget model and institutional planning processes.
Trevor is widely recognized for his collaborative leadership style, analytical thinking, and ability to translate complex strategy into actionable plans. His deep experience in governance, change management, and data-informed decision-making makes him ideally suited for this new position.
Please join me in congratulating Trevor on his appointment and welcoming him to his new role. I will launch a search process for the Chief Financial Officer role and announce transition plans shortly.
