This newly created academic leadership role reporting to the Vice-Provost Faculty & Academic Life, will provide leadership and support to Divisions for academic HR processes (including recruitment and academic reviews), development of faculty and librarian supports including wellness and professional development, and engagement in relationship building and negotiations with UTFA. Professor Lorraine Ferris has been appointed as Special Advisor to the Provost for a three-year term from July 1, 2026. In this role, Professor Ferris will work closely with the Deputy Provost and Provost, in providing support to academic leaders, including advising on difficult conversations, investigations, and alternative dispute resolution.
