As announced on April 16, 2024, Professor Wisdom Tettey has been appointed as the next President and Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University. Professor Linda Johnston is currently serving as the Acting Vice-President and Principal, UTSC, as Professor Tettey is on administrative leave until June 30, 2024. Nominations are now open for membership on the Advisory Committee on the Appointment of a Vice-President and Principal, University of Scarborough. Nominations are due by May 10.

The University has made changes to the My Research Applications & Agreements (MRA) access approvals process for teaching stream faculty members and librarians.

U of T researchers will now have unlimited open-access publishing in select journals without any charges to the authors. This collaborative initiative will amplify the global impact of U of T-authored scholarship.

U of T instructors, librarians, and staff at all career stages are invited to register for the 2024 Teaching and Learning Symposium — "What is a Classroom?". This event will be hosted May 22 (online) & 23 (in-person) by the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation. This year's Symposium addresses the who, what, when, where, and how of defining the classroom and encompasses the many elements and variables that make up higher education and represents the ever-changing environment in which we learn and work.

Faculty, staff, and librarians are invited to provide input for the 2025 - 2027 IT@UofT strategic plan at upcoming townhalls, online and on each campus. Priorities identified through the new IT governance processes, in combination with community feedback, will inform the development of a refreshed plan that will be made available in fall 2024.
