Extension of Professor Lorraine Ferris as Associate Vice-President, Research Oversight and Compliance

I am pleased to announce that the Senior Appointments and Compensation Committee has approved the extension of Professor Lorraine Ferris as Associate Vice-President, Research Oversight and Compliance to July 31, 2018.

In her role as Associate Vice-President, Professor Ferris provides academic leadership in research oversight and compliance and manages the Research Oversight and Compliance Office (ROCO). ROCO comprises legal services, research ethics (human and animal), and research financial reporting and audit. We have greatly benefited from Professor Ferris’ work in helping academic divisions to effectively manage research integrity processes and in increasing awareness and response to external, complex, and ever-changing compliance requirements.

I am grateful that she has agreed to extend her leadership in the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation.
