Re: Call for Nominations – Advisory Committee on the Appointment of a Vice-President, University Operations (PDAD&C #14)

On December 31, 2016 Professor Scott Mabury will complete his first term as Vice-President, University Operations, a position that he has held concurrently with his position of Vice-Provost, Academic Operations. Professor Mabury is eligible for reappointment.

I am writing to call for nominations of individuals to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Vice-President, University Operations. The membership of the Advisory Committee will comprise:

  • 4 to 6 members of teaching staff, including academic administrators;
  • 1 to 2 members of administrative staff; and,
  • 2 Lieutenant Governor-in-Council (LGIC) and/or Alumni members of the Governing Council.

The Committee’s first task will be to undertake a review and advise me on the University Operations portfolio and on priorities that should be considered for the Vice-President. Given that Professor Mabury is eligible to be re-appointed, the Committee will also consider whether to recommend re-appointment or to proceed with a search.

Ms. Sheree Drummond, Secretary of the Governing Council, will serve as secretary to the Committee. Mr. Anwar Kazimi, Deputy Secretary, will also provide support. Nominations for membership on the Advisory Committee should be submitted by Wednesday, September 21 using the confidential online form. Questions should be directed to:
