Re: Appointment of Cathy Eberts as Director, Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Cathy Eberts to the position of Director, Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) within the CIO portfolio effective March 1, 2016.

Cathy has over twenty-five years of progressive experience in the management of enterprise level applications within the higher education and public sectors. Since joining the University in 1994, Cathy has directed the strategic use of technology across a wide range of administrative systems including Finance, Research, Human Resources, and Development. Most recently she has provided oversight and direction for the Next Generation Student Information Services (NGSIS) program, working closely with key stakeholders to replace the current student information system with a hybrid of vendor, community-sourced, and locally developed solutions. Cathy is known for her collaborative style, cultivating strong connections in almost every division of the university to ensure the value of information technology investments is realized. She was recognized as an Influential Leader by a Chancellor’s Award in 2012.

The Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration unit is a central department of Information Technology Services (ITS) charged with the development, maintenance, and effective operation of the Administrative Management Systems (SAP) and Student Information Systems. The department works closely with divisions to promote the use and deployment of technology to improve and streamline university services.

Please join me in congratulating Cathy as she transitions to this broader leadership role.
