Re: Alumni Impact Survey (PDAD&C #94)

I am pleased to inform you that the University of Toronto Alumni Impact Survey (AIS) launched on April 19 and will run until June 19, 2017. The survey will be used to build an evidence-based understanding of University of Toronto alumni careers, experience, and impact in Canada and around the world. For more information about the survey please see the FAQs.

The AIS is a census of the University’s alumni, giving them the opportunity to provide information on their impacts in a number of areas. For the majority of participants, the survey will be administered online by the external survey provider, R.A. Malatest and Associates, Ltd. Two additional samples of 10,000 each will be contacted by telephone or mail and invited to complete the survey online or by phone. All alumni may also start the survey directly by visiting uoftimpactsurvey.ca and providing their survey code or their email address.

As part of the research protocol, messaging and promotion for this survey is being coordinated centrally by the AIS Steering Committee which includes members from the Division of University Advancement and University of Toronto Communications. A package of materials including social media tools, digital signage, and print materials has been circulated to divisional advancement and communications staff to ensure a coordinated and consistent message. It is essential that any divisional or departmental communications regarding the survey utilize these materials.

Survey fatigue can significantly and negatively affect response rates. For this reason, we ask that you refrain from conducting surveys of alumni until after June 19, 2017. Further information can be found at uoftimpactsurvey.ca. Any questions should be directed to:
